A set of powerful creative tools that turn static images into interactive augmented reality, all inside the Artivive Editor (Bridge). No coding required.

Here are the key features and functionalities of the editor that help you create more engaging, interactive AR.

1.Transform layers

In the Artivive Editor (Bridge) you can transform each layer to perfectly fit your AR experience. Move, rotate and scale layers to adjust their position, orientation and size. To do this, either:

  • use the on-screen transform handles (axes), or
  • adjust the numeric values in the Transform panel for more precise control.

2.Particle effect layers

Particle effects let you enhance your AR experience with dynamic motion elements such as sparks, dust, smoke or other visual effects. Add a particle layer and customise its behaviour, including speed, direction, size and density, to match the style and mood of your artwork.

You can choose from pre-made particle effect templates, preloaded effect images, or upload your own custom assets. Particle effects add depth, atmosphere and movement, making your AR experience more immersive and visually engaging.

3.Timeline – animate and sequence your AR

Timeline is the animation and sequencing tool that brings your AR artwork to life directly inside the editor. It controls how and when your layers appear, move and interact. With Timeline you can move, rotate, scale, transform and time your layers without any coding or external software, making it easy to design smooth, professional AR animations.

4.Timeline Sequences

Sequences is an extension of Timeline that lets you take your AR artwork beyond a single animation and build dynamic, multi-state experiences. While Timeline focuses on animating and sequencing layers over time, Sequences let you create different “states” or chapters within the same artwork.

These states can change based on user interaction or timed progression, making your experience feel more interactive, responsive and narrative-driven, from interactive storytelling and layered visual transitions to “choose your own adventure” AR. Read the full guide and watch the tutorial:

5.3D Sound (spatial audio)

With the 3D Sound button in the editor you can create spatial audio that reacts to the viewer's position in the scene, making your AR experience more immersive and realistic. You can choose between two sound behaviours:

  • Logarithmic – the sound gradually increases as the viewer moves closer, softer at a distance and full volume inside the inner sphere. It is never fully muted; the volume changes with distance.
  • Linear – the sound is only active within a defined outer sphere. As the viewer moves closer the volume increases evenly, and outside the sphere it is completely silent, useful for precise, spatially controlled audio triggers.

You can adjust the size of both spheres directly in the editor to fine-tune how the audio behaves.

6.AR Mode in the Artivive app

Edit your artwork directly in augmented reality. Select your artwork, click the three dots in the top corner and choose “Edit artwork” to open the 3D editor. Click the AR button at the top, then scan the physical target image with your camera to enter AR Mode. Once active you can:

  • Add layers
  • Move, rotate and scale elements
  • Adjust layer settings in real time
